Interestingly this Penn Slammer III 3500 that I have been using a fair bit and also handed over to a couple of clients in July is arguably smoother again than when I first loaded it up with line (I had to play around with the washers to get a good line lay), indeed it slightly reminds me of how a Van Staal seems to almost run in over time
