The Shimano Tranx B Low Profile Baitcasting Reels are new for 2025. Shimano has started with the 300 size in two configurations in both right and left handed. The 300B features a 5.8:1 gear ratio and a double paddle handle while the 200HGB has the 7.6:1 gear ratio with the single power handle. If you are fishing in saltwater, most of the time you will opt for the 300HGB as it can handle a wide variety of inshore saltwater fishing and the power handle is great.
