Japanese Ranma Hori Carved Peacock Facing Right 6" Butsugu Tansu 41" x 69" x 22"This is a beautiful hand carved Ranma Hori in the shape of a peacock flying left. A Ranma is a transom that sits above sliding doorways in a traditional Japanese house to let air flow though freely. The Ranma Hori would usually sit on the ends of the Ranma in smaller transoms. As such, these functional sculptural works are meant to be viewed from the bottom and have little extra flourishes underneath. This one is 6 wide by 3 high and 3 Deep
