Over that is layered the clock gears (made from the maps from my trip) and horizontal stripes that represent the hectic timetable of the trip

The flowers from my Colorado garden have turned into seed pods

It reminds me of being in a crowded dance club with all the patrons competing to be heard

Middle School Cliques little gem • Hexagon shapeFor middle school, I transferred to a new school and found the whole experience jarring. Gone was the small classroom with friends Id had since kindergarten. My new school seemed huge, with changing classrooms and teachers every hour, and strangers all around. Middle School Cliques is my impression of those first weeks, with the world around me so gray and frightening. Even the kids seemed alien as they clustered into cliques by some unknown method.
