Vintage Japanese Geisha Ningyo Doll Red Kimono w/ Wisteria 11.5" Blade vivid red silk hakkake (八掛)This is a vintage Japanese Geisha doll in a full red silk kimono made in the Showa era (mid 1900's). She holds a wisteria branch that further adds to the floral motif of the kimono. Around her waist is a black and gold obi sash with a wave pattern design. All hand made and hand painted this type of doll is a work of art and has been collected for many generations. The doll is mounted to a 5" x 5' wood base. Height = 11. 5" Base = 5" square
