Small Silver Teardrop Cactus Earrings leaf earrings with a semi-precious gemstone dropThese handmade small teardrop cactus earrings are inspired by the desert and cast from actual skeletons of Prickly Pear cactus (skeleton closeup shown). Using the lost wax casting process, each piece starts with a carefully selected section of Prickly Pear skeleton, which is then hand cast using recycled sterling silver. Lila Clare Jewelry has been making unique jewelry from the dried cellulose skeleton of the prickly pear cactus since 2010.
