This is where I got the title from - I mentioned the snake when I first posted the painting on social media and a yoga teacher friend commented ‘Kundalini Rising’ and I laughed and thought - yes

His use of gouache was an epiphany moment for me

The sitter is Ernest Thesiger CBE (1879-1961)
