A very auspicious motif called Shochikubai. The "fish eye" un glazed area on the bottom was a unique kiln footing design found on late Edo to early Meiji era pottery. It measures approx. 16" in diameter by 2" tall (41 x 5 cm). And weighs 6. 10 lbs
