When I began the painting

a sheer drop

barely a decade later the shipping containers and coastal deep-water ports had finished off the Thames’ trade and with it the viability of the Docks and Wharves along that bank

The quaint chapter titles and the gorgeous Rich Tea biscuit colour of the pages really helped forming the ideas for these little paintings
