This armor is made of steal plating held together with silk cords. It includes the body, helmet, shoulder parts and thigh covers. While not complete with all parts (gauntlets, foot covers, etc.) it certainly makes an impressive statement piece. Likely used for ceremonial purposes or pageantry in the 19th century. The whole set was made with great care for details that Japanese arts are
