So I wasn’t watching the countryside go by - but it was another window on the world

This is where I got the title from - I mentioned the snake when I first posted the painting on social media and a yoga teacher friend commented ‘Kundalini Rising’ and I laughed and thought - yes

Exhibited at the Hilton Art Gallery

It does happen occasionally but short of the painter using a pseudonym to dodge a gallery contract – as often happened – or a joker adding their name for some spurious reason

A Quiet Comfort show_depth So I wasn’t watching theLarge Mr Mustard figure with sea spray glazing and removable wire glasses. His best friend Doris can be posed separately, beside or in front, as you will. Im thinking maybe Ernest is looking out to sea taking his eyes slightly out of focus. Doris with her windswept ears is focusing more keenly on what she might have for dinner. Together theyre taking comfort in their silent contemplation.
