Antique Japanese 4 Drawer Kyodai Vanity Tansu Mullberry Wood 14" Haribako Suzuribako Markings: appear to be "助道"This is an antique Taisho era (c 1920's) kyodai (vanity tansu chest) with a unique arrangement of four drawers. Made of the finest mulberry wood drawer faces and keyaki casing. Where once there were arms to hold a mirror the top has been filled in (see photos). Makes for a great jewelry case or desk organizer.
