Antique Japanese Meiji Era (1868-1912) Hakari Tenbin Balance Scale Weight Games 1 3/4” Diameter 2 1/2”This is an antique Japanese balance scale (hakari) weight dating to the Meiji Era (1868 1912)or even earlier from the late Edo era. It has Japanese writing on one side and a shop logo on the other. It is bell shaped with a lanyard ring at the top to adjust up and down a pole scale. Seen in the last picture is a bar or pole scale (not included) similar to the one which would have originally been used a similar weight. Stamped in copper inlay is the
