مع تسارع الخطوات الصهيونية نحو قَضم المزيد من الأراضي الفلسطينية وضمها رسمياً إلى الكيان الإسرائيلي، بما فيها أراضي مدينة القدس، التي أعلنتها «إسرائيل» بمباركة أمريكية عاصمة لها، تزداد أهمية الجهود الفكرية والعلمية لكشف زَيف الادِّعاءات التاريخية للكيان الصهيوني لتنفيذ مشروعه الاستيطاني الاستعماري في فلسطين، وبخاصة بعدما نجح هذا الكيان في تسويق ادعاءاته عالمياً، موظفاً الرواية التوراتية من جهة، وأعمال التنقيب والدراسات الآثارية المحرفة من جهة أخرى، لصوغ رواية تاريخية للقدس وفلسطين عموماً تزيّف الهوية الحقيقية لفلسطين وشعوبها على مدى آلاف السنين
