In 1968, the A series models of General Motors' different brands, including the Pontiac GTO, were given a complete makeover. The bodywork of this model adopted a fastback line and the wheelbase was reduced by 8cm to 2. 84m (9. 32ft). The front of "The Judge" version of 1970 had integrated bumpers and a split grille with a central strip the same colour as the bodywork.
