Beaune Prevolles, 2022 Syrah Region: AlsaceGenerous, fragrant but fine boned pinot from a site just below the Premier Cru areas of Beaune. The wine was produced by Catharina Sadde, a young winemaker with one of the most impressive CVs in Burgundy, including a stint at Domaine de la Romane Conti who here uses 50% whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation in barrels and stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months ageing in used barrels, and minimum SO2 added only after malolactic fermentation
