We had fun framing this stunning chanteuse and settled on an extremely grand eighteenth century portrait frame that used to house a Gainsborough

Not a screaming beauty but definitely someone you’d want by you in a tight spot

Quite a contemporary work for the current exhibition but I really admire the painterly quality of it

You could of course add your own cheesy confection. I love the slight antiquing on the glaze, and how, at certain orientations, the pedestal looks erroneously vertical.
