A Pretty 19thC Circular Painted Grandfather Clock Dial sub-Rugs- Carpets & Textiles StaffordshireOrigin: English Period: Mid Nineteenth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1840 Diameter: 14 inches The round face having hand painted roman numerals and digits with winding holes and two vacant subsidiary dials on an ivory ground having a mirrored pair of colourful nightingale birds amongst flora painted to the center. Once having been the face of a long case clock, this dial is in as found condition and has not been cleaned or restored in any way,
