A Late Nineteenth Century Engraved Silver Box sub-Rugs- Carpets & Textiles strongly refractiveAn engaging and personal little silver treasure, of rectangular form, engraved all over with vines, leaves and scrolls. At the centre of one side is a cartouche engraved with the monogram "J E A". The case has spring loaded hinges and is opened by a button at the top. Around the button is a metal loop for attaching to a chain, which is hallmarked with a lion, indicating sterling silver. There is no date or maker's mark found on the box. Similar in
