Bg5) is less frequently played and less well known than other queen pawn openings such as the Trompowsky Attack, the Torre Attack or the London System. This makes it a dangerous weapon in the right hands. Many opponents are simply not prepared for it. The Veresov System is an attacking opening in which White develops his minor pieces quickly in order to then open the position with effective pawn advances.
