In his best days he was considered invincible and some consider him the greatest chess talent of all time: Jose Raul Capablanca, born in Havana in 1888. At the age of 13 he became Cuban champion, in 1909 he sensationally defeated Marshall 8: 1 and catapulted himself into the world elite. At a time when information was scarce across the pond, Capablanca did not gain the recognition he deserved in Europe
