(1938 1945 issue). Constructed of blackened bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing central raised double Sig runes set within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central raised number 4, in turn overlaid by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS), unmarked, measuring 38. 03 mm in
