including a Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal
maker marked and dated "AH 1287" (1870) on the reverse cartouche
They suffered their first loss on April 14 when an Hs 126 was shot down by an RAF Hurricane south of Salonika
with high relief of Adolf Hitler on obverse

A South Atlantic Campaign Miniature Medal, with Named Carton Buy Now 8 mm (w) x 40In cupro nickel, the obverse bearing the crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the reverse bearing the Falkland Islands' coat of arms, 19 mm in diameter, on ribbon, extremely fine condition. Original cardboard carton is attributed to MNE1 C. R. Bowden P035198E RM on the exterior. Footnote: The South Atlantic Medal was awarded to British military personnel and civilians for service in the Falklands War of 1982 between the United Kingdom and Argentina.
