Instituted 27 November 1838 by Grand Duke Paul Friedrich August. (c. 1915 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting a Cross Patte, the obverse with white enameled arms, with a central blue enameled disc bearing a gilt monogram of Grand Duke Peter Frederick Louis, within a ring of red enamel bearing a gilt inscription of E.
