In the decades since, theyve become an icon of Scandinavian interior design. Taking inspiration from the thousands of lakes in his native Finland, Aaltos waves combine function and sculpture. Each Aalto vase goes through a multi step production process at the Iittala Glass Factory. First, the vase is mouthblown, then hand cut before going through several
