Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer style German national eagle, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD WITH US) and laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), an example of a buckle worn by both Reichswehr and early Wehrmacht Heer
