The band started in Danbury, CT but quickly moved to New York City, which was more suitable for the band's sonics anyway. You see, by 1985, hardcore's first wave, with bands like Minor Threat and SSD and Black Flag and Negative Approach and Agnostic Front, had ended. Some of those original bands were still around, but they were all moving away from that original, raw sound the sound
