Württemberg, Kingdom. An Order of the Württemberg Crown, Knight’s Cross with Case, c. 1916 Newly Listed both belts stamped with depot(Orden der wrttembergischen Krone Ritterkreuz mit Etui). Instituted 23 September 1818 by King Wilhelm I. (1870 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a raised and gilded crown, situated within a red enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of FURCHTLOS UND TREW (FEARLESS AND LOYAL), the reverse
