Germany, Weimar Period. A DLV (Airsport Association) Officer’s Visor Cap Insignia Republic of this piece was featured in(Luftsportverband Offiziers Schrimmtzenabzeichen). A fine quality and well preserved example, constructed of finely detailed die stamped metal eagle superimposed on a hand embroidered open top bullion wreath with the DLV: letters above and below the eagle, on a padded dark blue wool backer and a partially preserved black cotton backer (uniform removed), measuring 52 mm (w) x 58 mm (l), in very fine condition.
