An oval badge constructed of gilded and silvered tombac, the obverse depicts frontal battleship cutting through waves, within an oak leaf wreath, topped by Kriegsmarine style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika (swastika filed off), reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical banjo style pinback, marked with designer Adolf Bock and manufacturer Schwerin, Berlin, measuring 43. 94 mm (w) x 56. 99 mm (h), weighing 33.
