Germany, Empire. A Set Of Cased Lancer Generalleutnant (Lieutenant General) Epaulletes United Republic of Instituted on 19 March 1807(Generalleutnant der Ulanen Epaulleten) Large, decorative stiff framed epaulets, with tops constructed of fine silver wire tresse with a smooth texture, trimmed and stitched into a neat border measuring 18 mm along the edges. Three gilt bronze pips occupy the bed of each epaulet, which are in turn ringed by a crescent of silver. Undernearth the crescents, a plethora of silver braids is sown firmly into the outer ring to hang by gravity when in use.
