Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich August inside of a blue enameled ring, the reverse with central dates 1914 1918, with laurel and oak leaf branches through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 27. 65 mm (w) x 32. 52 mm (h), weighing 10. 4 grams
