In bronze gilt with finely executed white, yellow, and green enamels, measuring 32 mm (w) x 35 mm (h inclusive of horizontally pierced integral ball suspension), hand etched edging, hand painted lettering, an old, later period ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: Founded May 5th 1841 by the provisional regency of Maria Christina. Awarded to the Elizabethan troops that took part in the Battle of Cheste of 1838; part of the First Carlist War.
