Repairing the Bells Framed or Unframed:Framed to help win the warThe curved shapes of 11 bells harmonize visually with the three workers carefully repairing the chimes of the Garrison Church near the former Imperial Palace in Potsdam. The church dated back to 1722 and the bell tower rose more than 285 feet high. The church stood until mid April 1945 when a British air raid destroyed most of Potsdam's inner city during World War II. Though the church wasn't hit by the bombing, it caught fire when a nearby building,
