Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised rightward facing profile of King Albert, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of FR LEBENSRETTUNG (FOR LIFESAVING), within an oak leaf wreath, the obverse maker marked M. BARDULECK, measuring 35. 54 mm in diameter, weighing 20.
