The buckle is constructed of stamped aluminum, with a silver aluminum finish; the obverse consisting of a raised pebbled field depicting a winged train wheel above a mobile swastika, surrounded by two ropes with Deutsche Reichsbahn written within it; the reverse hollow, stamped with the maker mark of F. W. Assmann, and DRGM;
