Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval disc with black enameled borders topped by silvered designs, surrounding a pale yellow enameled field overlaid by a silvered and black enameled 1914 Iron Cross, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 29 mm (h), with a small chip visible to the yellow enamel between
