Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal (Aka Galipoli Star), C.1917 Auction marked 935 silver on reverse(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. Of local Turkish manufacture in cast metal with red patination, ball finials on the tips of the star points, Turkish made, measuring 55. 5 mm (w) x 53. 2 mm (h), horizontal pinback, scattered wear in the red patination and the silvering, better than very fine.
