Germany, HJ. A Mint and Unissued Field Cap Republic of A similar buckle is illustrated(HJ Sommer Mtze). An extremely well preserved HJ field cap, constructed of khaki tan cotton. The cap is fully surrounded by stylized side walls which are trimmed along the seam with red piping. Stitched onto the lower peak is an HJ insignia executed in red, white, and black machine embroidery, measuring 15 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). A rigid internal reinforcement is palpable along the lower edge, maintaining the caps structure, while a light brown rayon
