GAUNT MONTREAL" on the reverse, measuring 42. 5 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), one of two lugs intact, the other having broken off, near extremely fine. Footnote: The 257th Infantry Battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Ottawa under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed February 16, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel
