Vintage Levi's "Silver Tab" T-Shirt Pop led by singer Kevin SteeleLevi's was founded in 1853. Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis literally invented the jean with their patenting of copper rivets on denim pants. Now, over a century and a half later, Levi's is synonymous with denim. In the 1990s, they released their Silvertab jean. It was called that simply because the denim replaced their classic red fabric label with a new silver one.
