Domaine Antoine Jobard Beaune 1er Cru Epenottes 2022 Size::6 Bottle Case Giraud's older bottlings have been
Description
Giraud's older bottlings have been among the best cognacs we've tasted
The 25-year-old (on average) bush vines sit at 350 metres on the mixed sandy clay soils (known locally as panal) with varied exposures
with a commitment to elegance and fruit purity
Its intense ruby red color with garnet reflections already promises a great taste experience
This block's argilo-siliceux soils (stony with green mineral clays and flint over limestone) provide the tight structure and pungent minerality that Le Mont is renowned for
Domaine Antoine Jobard Beaune 1er Cru Epenottes 2022 Size::6 Bottle Case Giraud's older bottlings have beenAntoine farms a good plot of vines that are close to 40 years old. Its just under a hectare, right on the border with Pommard. There is plenty of clay, and the wine is layered and hedonistic. It is the only red in our allocation fermented with bunches (30%), a wonderfully seductive, Vosne like red that is already gorgeous yet clearly has the structure to age.
