Fittings as well as scabbard are in bronze, plated over by darkened bronze, of high quality manufacture. Bronzed hilt fittings feature a circular pommel with a center obverse raised inscription, "NHD" (Independent State of Croatia) while the straight crossguard features a raised wheat leaf motif.
