It is endemic to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas and considered endabgered in Florida. It is a long lived evergreen perennial shrub that likes partial shade. This shrub can make a nice hedge and blooms white flowers, has showy fruit and interesting foliage. Endemic to South Florida but does perform well in central Florida. Not salt tolerant. Bees and
