A First War period German brooch constructed from a piece of an artillery shell driving band, featuring a black enamelled Iron Cross riveted to the band, with oak leaves on either side, the reverse presents a horizontal pinback, measures 47 mm (w) x 8 mm (h), and in overall extremely fine condition condition.
