An oval gilt bronze medal with a green enameled laurel and oak wreath along the edge of the medal; the obverse depicting two angels hovering on either side of a red and white enameled cross, inscribed PATRIAE AC HUMANITATI (Latin Country and Humanity); the reverse dated 1864 1914; on a double loop suspension from a period original ladies ribbon with a horizontal pinback; measuring
