He played in the Yardbirds after Eric Clapton left the band, slightly overlapping with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, and after turning down a spot in the Rolling Stones he set out on a successful solo career that he's still pursuing to this day. He released his second solo album, Wired, on Epic Record in 1976. The album went to #16 on the Billboard Charts and has since been certified
