A Silver Grade Naval Wound Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac the reverse with the royal(Verwundetenabzeichen der Marine in Silber). Constructed of vaulted magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval chain link wreath, surrounding a central raised anchor overlaid by crossed swords on a pebbled background, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 39. 73 mm (w) x 45. 77 mm (h), weighing 7. 1 grams, an unusual example in extremely fine condition.
