Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge, 1957 Reissue Auction possibly referring to lieutenant general(Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse depicts an oak leaf wreath with a ribbon on the bottom and a Luftwaffe eagle with outspread wings on the top, with a cloud towards the top and a lightning bolt striking the ground, the reverse is plain with a vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 42. 5 mm (w) x 56. 5 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
