Subspecies purpurea grows from the mid Atlantic all the way into Canada while subspecies venosa is prevalent in the southern range down into Georgia
striped ampullaria with a bit more squat stature and extended wings on the pitcher thanks to the influence from the mother plant

Nepenthes 'Splendid Diana' x Redonkulas, CAR-0249 Carnivero Exclusives Subspecies purpurea grows from theNepenthes 'Splendid Diana' x Redonkulas, CAR 0249. We expect lots of color and vigor from this cross given the outstanding parents. The female is one of the most vigorous in our collection and the male parent is extremely colorful, with brilliantly bright red pitchers and striped peristome.
